SCANIA R142 H 4x 2

Hi
I'm new here and unfortunatly my deutsch isn't good enough for writing so it is better that i stick with english
so, this is my last project, it will be mix from italeri cab and first part of chasiss and rear part from heller.
as i saw, ther is also a lot of wrong part in the box, so obviusly there will be lot of home work to do it right.

here you can see some parts, suspension are modified, i cut 1mm away from first axle to reduce chassis height, but on rear suspensions i cut only outside,to have 9 foils instead 11, because on rear chassis was already on right position

on rear axle heller put chrome drums, who now why, so first thing was visiting mr muscolo

next i need to schratchbuild fifth wheel suports

and this is chassis glued together, front suspensions is already in its position, on rear part won't be so easy, because suports are wrong :!!

hi, me again

chassis is build together, rear suspension has new suports, fifth whell suport is ready and glued on chassis

test fit for cab, rear suport is higher for aprox. 2 mm because originaly cab sits much too low on rear part.
but, now cab still sits too high on front and still too low on rear, and alltogether is too high, look at fenders,...

and also you can see how wrong is gearstick position

so i have decide to reduce front suports on cab for 1mm and other 1mm on chassis suport

left one is still original, right one is already modified

very nice!!! It´s a very good idea to build the 2nd series Scania with the Heller parts. You do that very good. I think it´s the best possibility to get a real looking Scania. Espacially with the scratchcuilt parts. Hope to see more soon.

hi
thanks for comments, i have this idea in my head for long time, i have already done something similar with mercedes benz, i combined front part from italeri with revell rear part for make 4x2 tractor on steel suspension. best thing is that you can use other two parts for build other truck, in this case i will do 141 6x2, sometime in future

ok, some progress with this scania
this is how looks modified air filter and pipe

here you can see how wrong is italeri air manifold to engine,(black one) i should build completly new one

engine is finished in original like colour

and this is bumper with supports for spoiler

and new exhaust pipe-on the left

schratchbuild fifth wheel plate with suports from iveco

i have add some plastic around window

front mudguards

dash with some schratchbuild switches

painted chasiss and engine

as i will put full closed rings, i have made schrachbuild rings, original will be used on some 6x2 modifications

inside look, there was space between roof and walls, so i made something like courtain support :idee:

Classic paintjob, fantastic! :ok:

I like those simple old paintjobs on the early Scania very much!

Yeahhhh, superb :ok: !!!!!!

The only thing I would have made different is the color of the spoilers, I think in blue it would have been better, but you made the choice... ;)

Hi there

I can just agree with the others. It´s a really nice job on an old but still good looking Scania. I´ll never get tired looking at this generation :ok:

I would also have painted the spoilers blue - but anyway - it was Your choice ;)

The greatest :respekt: from Denmark, for building a truck like this.

Great work, just loving it. Red is pefect for the spoilers. It gives the Scania 142 that typical 80's look.
