Scratch 1/24 DAF DROPS British Army
WOW!!! Thats a really nice project you have there!!

Very cool idea to build that type of vehicle! It seems to be a lot of scratchbuilding
I really looks very good!

As you may have seen I have a similar project ongoing a Scania R480 8X8 Army vehicle but it is not that much scratchbuilding.
Please keep up the good work and post more pictures
Best regards
Håkan
Hi Nige, Fantastic looking project!! Seems like you are very good in adding great detail yourself.

Hi Hakan
Thanks for the compliments. I am really enjoying this project even though it has been on the go for a few years now. The scratchbuilding does get the brain cells going to try getting things looking right.
I was getting to know a chap on another site Steve (BARV) Cruickshank who was a master at building from nothing and he was giving me lots of ideas and hints or tips when I got stuck.
Sadly he passed away end of last year so I am now determined to get on with this as a sort of tribute to him and his work. It will be done to my best but I know that it will never match the standard of his work.
I am going to have a look at your 8X8. I will be following your progress too for sure.
All the very best
Nige
