Scania T580 6X4 heavy haulage

Hello!
It has been a while since I posted anything here so it is definitely time again. This time it is about a project I finished a couple of month ago. So today this model is finished but I thought I might as well post how this project was made from the beginning to the end.
The “role model” is a real truck that is running in Latvia. It is a Scania T580 heavy haulage truck that mainly transports heavy machines such as excavators and wheel loaders in Russia and Latvia. It is a very high spec vehicle with hub reduction axles, air suspension, overdrive gearbox etc.




For this project I decided to use an EMEK cab. But it turned out to be some work since the Scania T-version only is avalible as T144 in EMEK, so I had to rebuild it together with parts from an R580 cab as well.

Hello!
Time for an update. Been working with the front grille. I had to combine both EMEK and Italeri parts from both Scania 4-series and R-series to be able to build up the T-version front grille.





Have also made some test assembly of the powertrain and chassis.

Jeg har av og til ebay-sverige besøkt, men der er nesten ingen salg på lastebil modeller.

Hello again!

Time for a new update of the T580 project. First step of the paint job is finished. I also got an idea that it should be possible to open the bonnet so I added two hinges from an Italeri 4-series Scania.

Hello!
New update. Now it was finally time to start the real building and use some glue.










It is not so much that remains to be done: a couple of antennas, mudflaps, decals and some other smaller things.
I have also decided to rebuild the EMEK trailer and also a JOAL CAT wheel loader in scale 1:25.

nice job, I have always said that emek has lot of potential to build great model, but of course need great modeller to do it :hand:

Now the decals, mudflaps and antennas are in place also.






The work with the trailer and CAT wheel loader has started as well.
